The company commenced business in 1969 as Warwick Bowring Engineering Limited. Warwick & Gay Bowring set up the business in Panmure, Auckland, as general engineers with machining capabilities on manual lathes. They were joined in the business by their son Grant Bowring who is now sole proprietor of the current company.

The business evolved into a specialist machining operation in 1978 with the purchase of the first of the new generation CNC Machines to enter New Zealand.

The company is located in its own purpose built facility in the East Tamaki Business Park in Auckland.
